Meet Bob Bank

Bob Blank

Bob Bank and his wife Monica (Mayer-Mader) have lived in the 45th Ward for over 23 years. Bob and Monica were married in St. John's Church at Montrose and Lavergne Avenues in 1981, and have raised their three children, who have attended Our Lady of Victory Grammar School, Lane Tech High School, Northeastern Illinois and DePaul Universities.

Bob Bank has been involved with the Jefferson Park Neighborhood Association (JPNA) since its first public meeting back in September of 2001.

Bob is also the editor and founder of the Jefferson Park Free Press, that familiar pale green newsletter that's also on line as www.jeffersonparkfreepress.com. Bob's hard-hitting brand of journalism has sounded the alarm on the out of control development and zoning abuse that has been going on in our ward, and his 'Free Press has offered solutions too.

Scout leader, sports coach, neighborhood activist, Lane Tech Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) member, Jefferson Park Historical Society board member, Bob Bank has always found time for the community.

"I care about our institutions and services, I ride the C.T.A. and Metra, my kids have gone to both public and private schools, I've played in our parks, and still do with my youngest son, and I see a lot of room for improvement." Unfortunately I see very little concern from our Alderman."

Bob Bank vows to get the community's input by holding "town-hall" meetings throughout the Ward on a regular basis.

Help restore honesty and integrity in our local government, support Bob Bank for Alderman of the 45th Ward!
